Luxury Vacations - Helping You Get Your Fix Of Glitz And Glamour

To many, the idea of a luxury vacation can provoke a mixture of awe and fear: after all, until recently, “luxury” was an idea that only the rich and famous were allowed to enjoy. However, as the travel industry explodes and more people are keen to take vacations to exotic and exciting destinations, the “luxury hotel break” has gained new meaning and revived momentum among travelers for the finer things in life.

In fact, treating yourself to a luxury break is no longer considered an extravagance but rather a welcome antidote to backpacking - especially among older travelers who have spent one too many nights in grubby hostels with just the basic essentials, and who can now afford to splash out a bit when booking travel accommodation.

Many people comment on return from their travels that they may need a “vacation to recover from their vacation”. That’s because traveling, despite all its pleasures, can be a hairy business - what with communication issues (if you’re in a non-English speaking country), making sure your belongings are safe and trying to make the most of the time you have left to sightsee. Luxury hotels can really take the stressful edge off your vacation as you’ll have everything you need right on your doorstep. Laundry services and daily housekeeping will take care of the basics, while the opportunity to be served three-course meals in the comfort of your hotel suite means you won’t have to trawl the streets to look for somewhere to eat.

What’s more, luxury hotels are infamous for offering their guests a variety of ways with which to unwind. Most luxury hotels today come with their own spa for which outsiders have to pay, while guests often receive complimentary treatments. A soothing massage, for instance, could be the ideal way to relax after a hectic day’s activities.

What’s more, many luxury hotels are situated near or host their own first-class golf courses; so if you’re hoping to enjoy a peaceful golf vacation, staying at a luxury hotel could be your best possible choice if you want to play on the finest greens.

It’s true that luxury hotels can cost a lot of money, but enjoying the comforts of a luxury hotel break doesn’t have to follow suit. Planning to go backpacking in Europe for a few months this summer? Scrimp and save by staying in youth hostels during your trip so that at the end of your vacation, you’ll be able to afford a few nights at a sumptuous luxury hotel in a cosmopolitan city like London or Paris.

Alternatively, if you simply want to experience the tranquility that staying in a luxury hotel offers, you don’t have to travel far. Just book a weekend in a luxury hotel near you and indulge in the pure pleasure it will bestow.

Guided Tours VS Luxury Travel Vacation Packages

So, you have decided to book a luxury vacation. It is time to call your travel agent. The first question most travel agents will ask you is “Are you interested in a cruise, a tour, or a travel package?” You know that cruises are not for you, but what about a tour? And what exactly is the difference between a tour and a travel package anyways? With different definitions and inclusions, it is important for any traveler to be informed enough to make the best decision for their unique needs.

Definitions

When you are considering booking a tour for your luxury travel vacation, keep in mind that “tour” implies several things. First of all, a tour is usually guided, and consists of a group of other tourists. A vacation package is usually considered a combination of flights, transfers, hotels and car rentals. If you so desire, you may add on minor excursions that are usually with a group or guided.

Pricing

A tour is usually a really good deal. You get to stay in the nicer hotels of the areas, and in most situations, it is usually more than one hotel. All your transportation is included, such as to and from the airport and transportation to all the local sites and tours. All the attraction tickets are calculated into the price, so you will not have to pay entry fees to art museums or shows. There are additional tours and excursions that can be purchased, but usually at a reasonable price. Most tour packages will also include some meals. With your luxury travel vacation package, all that is included is the cost, fees and taxes of your air, hotel and car rental. Sometimes there are special availability of free breakfasts of a city tour, but this is not the norm.

Maintaining a Florida luxury vacation home is very advantageous especially if you are one of those business people who usually need to entertain your guest or treat on a fabulous vacation by the beach. By maintaining a Florida luxury vacation home near one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida, you will be able to treat your business associates to a few days on the beach every time you want to.

Choosing A Good Location For Your Florida Luxury Vacation Home.

Good location is very important when choosing a Florida luxury vacation home especially if you intend to use this vacation home both for business and for pleasure.

Since you will most likely have to entertain a lot of guest in your Florida luxury vacation home, you need to find a place that is easy to find and is accessible to your guest. A nice place in Orlando will do nicely especially if you want to be close to the city. The good thing about getting a vacation home in Orlando is that your guest will not need to travel far to get there.

If you want to have a laid back atmosphere when doing business with your associates, get a vacation home located around Key West. Luxury Bedding

Remember that luxury bedding in the hotel room when you went for your honeymoon? Until a few years ago, luxury bedding was mainly associated with luxury villas or suites in upscale hotels. But now you can have the same feeling of luxury at your home also. But you should be cautious while choosing luxury bedding for your home. Luxury bedding from hotels might not be suitable for your home, but don’t worry. There is designer luxury bedding available for your bedroom.

Luxury bedding doesn’t have to be silk or satin. You should go for luxury bedding which can be easily cleaned at your home. There is customized luxury bedding also available for a reasonable price. There are some hotels which offer this bedding for sale. You can always ask their housekeeping staff for tips to keep this bedding clean. Luxury bedding in good designer stores, online as well as offline, can cost you around $3,000 to $5,000.

One may go for silk or velvet bedding, which in itself signifies luxury bedding, but one has to decide beforehand whether or not such bedding suits one’s lifestyle. Then the focus has to be not only on luxury, but also comfort. After spending all this

money you deserve at least a good night’s sleep. To get a better idea about luxury bedding one can always attend housekeeping conferences, which are a regular event in many major cities and towns. Also, tips are available both online and offline. The trends in luxury bedding change at a fast pace. Keep a tab on them, so that you are not buying outdated bedding in terms of fashion and trends. Such bedding can also be purchased online. It is shipped to you within a prescribed time period.

Luxury Vacations For Fraction Of Retail Prices

For years I’ve been wanting to take my family on a luxury vacation to the Caribbean. There has been one thing standing in my way - the cost. Finally I’ve found the solution to the problem, and I’m so excited I want to pass it along.

I recently attended a travel show just for fun to pick up information and see if I could find that special deal. Luxury vacations to the Caribbean are easy to find, that’s for sure, but usually they are not cheap. I obtained information from Beaches and Sandals resorts, and found that it wasn’t really going to work for me.

While I was walking around, I overheard a couple talking about all the money they were saving on their vacations. It turns out they were members of a travel club that allows them to book accommodations at prices that are 75% and more below industry rates. And the bookings can be made in advance, not just at the last minute. I introduced myself and we talked for awhile. It turns out that they had been in a very similar position as I was before they bought their membership. Naturally, I wanted all the details.

They told me that the travel club membership provided a way to obtain preferential treatment in booking luxury timeshare resort condos. These resorts are available through normal travel booking sites like Expedia, etc, but booking that way means paying retail price. With the travel club, it’s possible to book the very same resorts for a fraction of the cost because the club has pre-purchased vacation weeks for resale to club members and because the club has been able to negotiate special rates with the resorts.

Since having that conversation, I gathered additional information and eventually purchased a lifetime Platinum travel club membership. I’ve been busy planning my next vacation, and yes it will be a luxury vacation. I think I’ll finally make it to the Caribbean. After all, I can get a week-long stay for 75% off industry rates and the resort condos are big enough for my entire family.

My advice is to check it out for yourself. The current price for the membership is low considering all the benefits and the fact that it is a one-time fee. There are no annual fees, or upgrade fees, or any of that nonsense.

Lodging Tourism Travel - How To Find The Best Deal To Book Your Lodging Tourism Travel Vacation

As someone who loves to travel I’m always actively seeking out great lodging tourism travel deals so I can go on vacation and have some fun. If I am going to spend money on a lodging tourism travel vacation then I would rather spend it on things other than hotel accommodations. My research has led me to find two lodging tourism travel options that I felt where worth digging into. Discount travel websites and luxury travel memberships seem to be what most people are searching for these days when looking for a lodging tourism travel vacation.

Based on my research, here’s a short comparison between discount travel websites and luxury travel memberships:

Discount travel websites like Expedia or Travelocity are very popular right now as they appear to offer a great lodging tourism travel discount when compared to booking straight through the resort itself. That all sounds good but at the end of your vacation week you still spent a couple thousand dollars on just your hotel accommodations alone. Also keep in mind when booking through these discount travel websites that the closer you book to the date that you want, the more expensive your rates will be. So if you plan on taking this route then always make sure you book with plenty of advance to get the most savings.

Luxury travel memberships offer a very unique appeal to people who like to travel. Members pay a one time membership fee with no monthly or annual maintenance fees. They can use their membership an unlimited amount of times per year and with no blackout dates. What I like most about a lodging tourism travel luxury memberships is that members will never pay more than $699 dollars for an eight day, seven night luxury vacation at a five star resort. Now that members are saving on hotel accommodations they have more money to spend on the kids, spouse, shopping, souvenirs, and more.

It did not take me that long to realize that owning a luxury travel membership far exceeds using a discount travel website to book my next vacation. I am excited to finally be able to vacation more often, stay at four and five star resorts, and spend my hard earned money on the things that matter the most to me.

Just What is a Luxury Vacation?

Just what is a luxury vacation? Most people think of elegant trips to the wine country, staying in a cozy bed and breakfast, or sipping champaign from the balcony of your penthouse suite overlooking the beach at Maui.

However, luxury travel, or any travel, is about making memories and making dreams come true. Perhaps your tastes run more to beer and hot dogs than champaign and caviar but you can still take part in a luxury vacation.

Every time you travel, you owe it to yourself to have the best of everything-the most elegant accommodations, attentive, quality service, many options to choose from and plenty of events and attractions to make every moment memorable and FUN! Hopefully most travel will fulfill these ideas of a dream vacation-so just how is luxury travel different? What sets luxury travel apart? Who should consider luxury travel?

As a travel consumer, luxury can mean different things to different people. There is no one definition of luxury. Some might think luxury travel is exclusive and glamorous, including 5 star hotels, first class air travel, private dining. Many people equate luxury with quality- quality service, quality meals, quality accommodations and extra pampering. All of these are all important to any traveler.

Today, however, luxury should also mean the creating the ideal vacation for you. What is your personal dream? It can be in any price range, in whatever sort of accommodations you choose and traveling wherever you wish to go.

The idea of luxury shouldn’t just be an indulgence reserved for the very rich. Today luxury can simply mean the chance to get away from everyday stresses, jobs, situations and be pampered. Have someone else make your bed and plan and cook your meals. Sneak in a massage or spa treatment. Let all the details be taken care of while all you do is enjoy!

In short, luxury travel is whatever you want it to be. You can fly first class or travel first class on a cruise or you can bicycle across America and camp out. Wherever you go, whichever type of trip you plan, you owe it to yourself to receive special treatment and you don’t always have to pay a lot to get it. You certainly can pay a lot if you want to-for the bigger suite, the first class seat, the gourmet meals prepared by a famous chef but luxury can also mean relaxing on a beach at sunset just to enjoy the scenery. Sunsets are still free!

Reward yourself with the vacation of your dreams-whether your dream is adventure, relaxation, spiritual, or exotic. You earned it. Make every vacation a luxury vacation.

Luxury Cruise Travel

Luxury cruise travels are an excellent option for tourists with a flexible budget. The cruise travel prices can be availed of by contacting a travel agency personally or online. There are a number of websites that provide all kinds of information about luxury cruise travel. It is now easier for vacationers to compare various deals and choose according to their needs.

Very often vacationers avoid the idea of planning a luxury cruise, as they believe it to be very expensive and unaffordable. However, luxury cruise travel is available at affordable prices during the off peak seasons. A little research helps to find good deals at affordable prices even on luxury cruise liners.

The total overhead of luxury cruises mostly includes all port fees, government taxes, accommodations, meals and refreshments and most onboard activities and amusement. It is not mandatory for cruisers to buy travel insurance. Most cruise line travels suggest buying travel insurance in case any unforeseen, unfortunate circumstances arise.

In case of online booking, the automated booking system usually displays available discounts, particularly for senior citizens and children. Online reservations do not demand any processing or ticketing fee. Usually, luxury cruise travel final payments are due 45-90 days prior to sailing, but this largely depends on the policies of the cruise.

Vacationers need to be cautious providing credit card information. They need to make sure that the information they provide is accurate. Any incorrect information could result in the cancellation of a booking. Luxury cruises introduce cruise packages to entice vacationers. These packages have a host of activities packed into a deal. Meals and room service are common features, along with shore excursions and onboard activities. The luxury class tourists enjoy additional benefits like lavish suites with private balconies, well-stocked bars and state-of-the-art entertainment systems.
