Free Travel Blogs - Travel Communities Are Great Fun

Free travel blogs are everywhere at the moment. It seems that travel communities are springing up all over the web.

You can see why this is, if like me you live in the UK, to say the weather in not good is an understatement. The winters seem to be getting longer, and the summers shorter.

As I write this article the rain is falling and the clouds are here. If only I was lying on a nice beach somewhere, with the sun on my back.

There could be an simple answer to this misery, join a travel community. Travel communities are basically people that are interested in travel, sharing their travel experiences with others. You can escape to wherever you want to, just by reading some ones travel blog. Or by creating your own travel blog you can relive the memories of your latest trip, or dream about a new travel destination you have yet to visit.

I myself have a travel blog, and its a real treat to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and escape to a far off destination on my blog. You can lose yourself in the Kasbahs of Morocco, or dance the night away in the carnivals of Rio. Or maybe just sip a cocktail or two by the pool in Florida. The choice is yours.

What Is Group Travel Insurance And Why You Should Opt For It

GROUP travel insurance is insurance against risks travelers face when on travel irrespective of the purpose of the travel. In group travel insurance, all members of the traveling group are insured against specified risks under a master policy. Travel insurance is not mandatory under UK law, yet it is advisable that travelers opt for it in their own interests, whether they travel alone, with family, or with a group of travelers.

Following are a few of the major risks that can be covered under group travel insurance:

* Personal accident or injuries sustained in car/train/air/ accidents

* Injuries or death due to accident or terrorist attack

* Illnesses when on travel

* Loss of some or all personal / business items, including money and documents, at the airport, inside aircraft, at the hotel, or anywhere else when on travel

* Losses arising from delayed or canceled flights for any reason including inclement weather or terrorist threats

* Any other emergency that may arise in the course of travel until return to the home-base

It is important to note however that group travel insurance covers only those risks that are specified in the group travel insurance policy. Therefore, before you embark on a travel, you must check it out with the holder of the master policy (usually a company) the risks covered. You cannot assume that all possible risks are covered in every group insurance policy.

Finally, the importance of group travel insurance cannot be over-emphasized. The risks you face in normal life at your home-base are applicable even when you are on travel; in fact, risks are greater when on travel, particular if you are traveling to places where climates, food, and general law and order is different from what you are accustomed to. Some countries of the world have made travel insurance mandatory for their citizens undertaking foreign travel, though the UK is not yet one of them.

Travel Marketing Tips: How-To Get Free Articles & More Web Traffic Guaranteed

Nothing beats editorial articles and photos to increase mass awareness of a destination, promote a tour, sell trips or increase your arrivals. It’s great when you can get a qualified freelance or staff writer to visit and publish a glowing article and photo.

Who says you can’t write your own articles and get them published easily? You can!

If you have any inclination to write about your area of expertise in tourism, here’s a resource I highly recommend that will give you website traffic, quality inbound links and expert credibility too.

EzineArticles.com, where you reading this article, is an online searchable directory that allows you to post articles by topic for free. These guys get a ton of website traffic and have many travel and leisure related categories to place your articles. Your articles or quick tips can’t be overtly promotional, but you can talk about your region, sport, specialty knowledge or anything relative to your travel offering. This can include a regional special events calendar, historical sites of interest in your region, wildlife, culture, little know facts or points of interest.

You get to make it up. In addition to the article you will need to create a compelling headline and 2- 5 sentence summary of the article so that people read it, visit your website and call you for more info and bookings.

To also increase readership, you need to create the key word phrases relevant to your article, so the 100’s of thousands of weekly visitors can search and find your article by your chosen topic. Be imaginative.

Article can be super short, 200 words or up to 1000 or more. You get to choose.

You also get an author’s resource box (1- 3 sentences about you and your travel business) which allows you two links to your commercial website and an authors photo. Both at no charge!

Steps To A Succesful Online Travel Business

Most people earn money while traveling only when they have acquired years of service to an employer. Earning money while traveling is attainable without having years of experience with an employer if you have your own online travel business. A sucessful online travel business is possible with self-discipline and dedication to develop your business. The first step in developing any business must include a business plan that includes short-term objectives you seek to accomplish. You can begin marketing your business by telling your friends, family, and business associates about your online travel business and encourage them to book their vacations using your travel website. These individuals can then refer others to your website once they see how convenient it is to book travel. Distributing business cards is another significant way to market your business. Business cards show potential clients that you are serious about your business endeavor.

Training is also necessary to develop your business. Attending travel trade shows will allow you to participate in seminars and meet others in the travel industry. Reading travel trade magazines is another way to become educated on the latest travel trends. If you are passionate about traveling and enjoy telling others about your travel adventures, it is likely that your business will reap the benefits.

Travel Nursing Could Be The Most Fulfilling Thing You Will Ever Do

I love travel nursing. With travel nursing I’m not stuck in one place, and my employment takes me places I wouldn’t be able to travel if I didn’t have a job to take me there. Travel nursing allows me to meet new people, and see new places, and the wonderful thing is that with this nursing job I get to decide how long I stay.

I love travel nursing. I get paid premium wages, excellent benefits, and I even get free quality, company housing with many of my jobs. I never have to pay the rent. I don’t have heating bills, electric bills, or any of the normal household expenses most people have, so travel nursing allows me to make good money, and also save it for the future when I do decided to settle down.

However, I love travel nursing so much, I don’t know if I will ever go to a regular nursing job where I am stuck at one place, basing my hours and vacations, and life on other people’s schedules. I love travel nursing because I can choose where and when, and the only thing that stops me is availability of the nursing position where I want to be.

The thing I love most about travel nursing is that it is so in demand these days. I can spend a week in California, by the beach, and the next month do a long stay in Vermont and ski the mountains. Travel nursing gives me flexibility I never dreamed of when I was studying to become a nurse, and that’s why I love that I made travel nursing my career choice.

Travel Tips For Your Vacation Rental Trip to Bulgaria

Bulgaria offers pleasures for each one’s taste. Thinking of an active holiday? Bulgaria has it - swimming, skiing, riding, climbing, hunting, fishing… Thinking of relaxing - amazing nature, sunny beaches, healing spas, monasteries and churches, hospitable towns and villages… Ancient culture, endless beaches and an emerald sea, high mountains with marvellous gorges and caves, clear lakes and rivers full of fish, wide valleys, healing springs, ancient culture, hospitable people, tempting cuisine and wines, diverse flora and fauna…

Rent holiday home or vacation rental in Bulgaria (http://bulgaria-vacation-rentals.com) and enjoy your stay!

All accommodation places in Bulgaria have been categorised according to the 5-star international system. Privatisation has had a favourable impact and today the country is proud of hotels and restaurants that meet the modern world standard.

When you are ready for that once in a lifetime experience of an Bulgarian vacation, consider a private home rental for your source of lodging. Hotels can be nice, but staying in a private home rented for the occasion can give you a chance to see the real Bulgaria. Explore the countryside, walk into the village and visit with the residents, and see what it feels like to actually go home, to a cabin or villa at the end of the day, living as the Bulgarians do. Or, try a beach house if that suits you or an apartment if you prefer a more urban setting. Getting to know the local people by living among them for an extended stay of a few weeks will give you a chance to learn some of the language, or if you already speak Bulgarian to brush up on your skills. It will also give you a chance to learn local history in a very unique way, from the people themselves. You will appreciate all of the similarities of Bulgarian culture with your own, and learn to appreciate the differences as well. The Bulgarians are a wonderful, friendly people with a rich culture and history. Taking the time to live among them, getting to know them as friends and neighbors, is truly an experience you will always remember.

Private homes for rent to vacationers in Bulgaria can be found in various price ranges. If you are looking for luxury, there are villas available. If something more rustic suits your taste and budget, then smaller homes and even old farmhouses are available to appeal to all tastes. Just as an example, one property includes two bedrooms, queen size beds, kitchen, laundry area, bathroom, central eat and the satellite television, telephone and VCR that most tourists are used to having. Imagine though the coziness and comfort of coming back to the house after a day of sight seeing to sit by the fire place, drinking a glass of a local wine, having a light dinner of pasta, and enjoying the peace and quiet of your surroundings. Staying in a hotel in a major city will certainly show you the tourist hot spots, but staying in a private home will show you the real Bulgaria.

There are so many wonderful places to visit in Bulgaria like: - Nessebar - beautiful small town on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast a few hours south of Varna. Another one of Bulgaria’s many UNESCO world heritage sites. - Sozopol - together with Nessebar these are the two sea towns with traditional houses and ancient dig sites. - Bansko - a beautiful old village in the Pirin mountains with refurbished homes, stone wall, and cobblestone streets, but increasingly overtaken by resort hotels. Good place for skiing in winter and hiking in summer. The birthplace of the Bulgarian revival movement. If you want a true mountain village experience, there are a few other villages nearby from which to choose. In the beginning of august an annual Jazz festival is being held in the town. Skiiers and Snowboarders could find BanskoSki useful.

No visa is required for entry for citizens of the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

However, foreigners have to register at the police after 72 hours. If you have booked with a travel agency, this will be taken care of. If not - usually, your hotel will handle the necessary paperwork (ask). If you do not stay in a hotel, you will need to go to the police and take the tedious task of registering on your own. Especially for UK and US citizens, Bulgaria is really cracking down on this. Failure to register might mean a 2000 Leva fine (about $1200 US). Also take care that you have an entry stamp in your passport, otherwise your exit could be quite troublesome.

Bulgaria offers tourist attractions all around the year. Most popular are summer seaside resorts, along the entire Black Sea coastline. In winter numerous ski resorts are there to attract tourists. There are many spa, treking and historical destinations that offer incredibly rich variety of experiences.

There are hundreds, maybe thausends of mineral water springs around the country, so this is something you’d better taste and drink. Ayrian and boza are two traditional Balkan non-alcoholic beverages.

Top Ten Travel Nursing “Hot Spots”

The great thing about being a traveling nurse boils down to one key component – it’s about the travel! For those of us who love moving around and seeing the world, travel nursing is the profession of our dreams. There are many travel destinations available, based on weather, activities, cost of living, and salary. Therefore, I have gathered a list of my “Top Ten” destinations that nurses choose, based on the number of travelers who inquire about each location every month. Are you a travel RN scouting a new assignment? Then I’d like to suggest the following ten “Hot Spots”:

HAWAII – It’s no shock that Hawaii generates over 500 travel nursing inquiries per month. The wide range of outdoor activities from snow-capped mountains to snow-white sandy beaches elevates Hawaii to one of those meccas where you can build a snowman or a sand castle all in one day. Nurses tell me that you’ll discover virtually every type of outdoor activity imaginable—hiking trails that wind through erupting volcanoes, secret beaches, and lush green ranchlands. Many travelers also hunt, mountain bike, go rafting, and golf on some of the world’s most extravagant courses.

ALASKA – Travel nurses are intrigued by the possibilities of Alaska’s rugged mystery. Alaska is a huge wilderness with beautiful scenery, and travel nursing assignments offer plenty of time to see and do everything you want, whether in winter’s darkness under northern lights, or the glorious spring and summer where it’s light most of the time. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy Alaska for its’ wildlife, spectacular natural landscape, and fishing expeditions where the fish really are as big as the stories about which they’re told. Countless day cruises and sightseeing expeditions abound, as well as opportunities to hike, kayak, canoe, ski… Need we say more?

MONTANA – Whether photographer, adventurer, or both, Montana is truly a state that beckons with open arms. River trips, fishing and camping, history, snowy mountain ranges, and waterfalls are what you’ll encounter, along with plenty of open space to explore. Assignments in Montana appeal to those travel nurses who just need some time to break away from their city grind to enjoy marching to the beat of an entirely different drummer. The Big Sky Country boasts some of America’s most famous mountains, canyons, river valleys, forests, grassy plains, badlands, and caverns, and many travelers find it just irresistible enough to keep coming back.

MAINE – Maine’s splendor has inspired artists like Georgia O’Keefe and three generations of the Wyeth family, since the mid-nineteenth century. Travel nurses can’t resist at least one adventure in this charming getaway. Whether you embark on outdoor adventures like skiing and snowmobiling, or if you prefer the cozy ambience of antiquing through charming villages or just strolling or riding horseback on miles of sandy beaches in the smell of salt air, Maine is legendary and offers some wonderful travel nursing experiences. Its’ unique culture is outdoorsy and quaint, and of course you get to enjoy lobster as the locals do—fresh from the ocean!

CALIFORNIA – Warm weather and world-famous beaches make California a favorite choice for traveling nurses. Nine-hundred miles of coastline gives nurses in all locations the chance to spend many hours near the waves; and for nature lovers, California is home to many wildlife parks, remote wilderness areas, and safe-havens for endangered animals. If you’re an excitement junkie, you can scout out a wide selection of theme parks; and no matter what your taste in music, concerts abound in every type of venue. Historic sites and museums invite, as do five-star restaurants and clubs in which to see and be seen. The shopping is unparalleled, whether it’s trendy Melrose Place, La Jolla, or the strand in Venice Beach; and of course it’s home to Hollywood, and, yes, movie stars. Whether northern, southern, or coastal locations, traveling nurses return to California time and again.

WASHINGTON – The Evergreen State boasts the gorgeous Pacific Ocean, the Cascade Mountains, desert experiences, rain forests, towering volcanoes, glaciers, and lush wine country. Washington State rates high on the list of many nurse travelers. Must-sees are the Space Needle and Coulee Dam. The culture here is incredibly diverse; sophisticated, outdoorsy, and loaded with resorts, history, parks, museums, and botanical gardens. Whether touring downtown Seattle for cozy antique and book stores, exploring ancient Indian grounds, or hiking and biking mountains or trails, Washington holds a strong allure for many nurse travelers.

SOUTH CAROLINA – Endless adventure, excitement, fun and exploration represent why South Carolina is always a favorite destination for travel nurses. America’s oldest landscaped gardens frame mansions rife with historical heritage, in addition to pristine beaches and legendary marshy wetlands. For all you golfers, with over 330 golf courses, there’s always a new place to swing your clubs. But what fascinates many traveling nurses is the rich heritage in which South Carolina has paved the roads of culture, art, and folklore in our past. You can visit several historical areas and discovery centers of American history, including the American Revolution and the Civil War.

COLORADO – World-class winter skiing and summer music festivals in the mountains are just two reasons that nurses love traveling to Colorado. Boasting four spectacular seasons, Colorado is where travel nurses get to explore the state’s 18 million acres of state and national parks, forests, and monuments for biking, hiking, fishing, mountain climbing, and kayaking, to name a few. Colorado has many cultural treasures, including ancient Native American sites and dinosaur fossil exhibits, historic ghost towns, and even award-winning vineyards in Grand Junction. And for those who enjoy city life, amid all this natural beauty lie wonderful metropolitan areas like Denver and Boulder, full of shopping, performing arts, and professional sports.

TENNESSEE – From energetic nights of blues on Beale Street, to gorgeous rolling acres of Tennessee Walker horse country, to peaceful Smoky Mountain sunsets, Tennessee is a vacation that offers many world-renowned attractions. Nurse travelers who visit Tennessee will find that they’re within a day’s drive of 75-percent of the U.S. population via quality interstates and highways. Attractions in Tennessee include the Jack Daniels’ distillery, Elvis’s Graceland, the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, and lots of southern hospitality. And don’t forget the crown jewel of the southern Appalachians, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

ARIZONA – If you adore the outdoors, then the Grand Canyon State might just be for you. The nurses who go there just rave about Arizona’s landscape which takes in tall mountain ranges, swift rivers, grasslands, sand dunes, and cactus forests all set against a beautiful sky that glows pink in the sunset. The traveler nurses who enjoy history will find plenty of it here, including Old West reformations, Native American nations, and Spanish-influenced areas all in one state. Arizona is also home to the nation’s greatest golf courses, resorts, spas, cabins, and ranches.

As you can see, limitless possibilities exist for those nurses who want travel, fun, and adventure to be part of their daily lives. If you’re a nurse who travels and it’s time for you to move on to a new location, try one of these top travel nursing destinations and see what new experiences lie ahead.
